For bass and guitar players, drummers and vocalists

Maybe you are returning to music after a break, or picking up an instrument for the first time. Perhaps you always wanted to have a go with music or to sing, but never had the opportunity?

These sessions are aimed at anyone who wants to gain experience and confidence in playing and rehearsing with other musicians of a similar ability in a structured but fun, relaxed, small group setting. They are also ideal for people wanting to make the step towards joining a band, going to public jam sessions, open mic nights, or just to enjoy making music with others and get a feel for playing as part of a band line-up.

If you are a beginner or developing player who is becoming competent with the basics, can play simple grooves or bass lines, or can follow basic chords, you are more than welcome! There'll be plenty of support so no-one will be put under the spotlight. Drum kits and vocal PA can be provided.

We have a great venue in Cheltenham and run one to two workshops a month on Sunday mornings. From beginner grooves, to 'mini gigs', there's a range of workshops to suit everyone. Refreshments and workbook material are provided.  The cost is £40 per person, per workshop.  You'll get a 2 hour session in a group of 6 to 12 people with expert guidance and support.  You can participate as much as you feel comfortable with and there is opportunity at the end for some social time and to give feedback.
